Senior Swimmers Deliver 10 CWS Open Records!

Oregon Senior Championships, March 1-4, 2012 (Gresham, OR)—senior swimmers deliver 10 CWS open records! 

Day 1 Highlights:  Emma Duffy scored in the 1000 freestyle, dropping 32 seconds and placing 15th.

Day 2 Highlights:  Emma set her 2nd CWS open record in as many events, dropping 8 seconds in the 500 freestyle:  5:41.88.  Dorsey Williams bettered his 100 fly best, swimming 57.60.  Jack Lloyd broke 5:00 in his 500 freestyle, yielding 4:59.90, 16th place, and a new CWS open record.  Jack also lowered his 100 fly record, posting 55.02.  The CWS boys (Will Sing, Dorsey Williams, Jack Lloyd, and Liam Reese) set 2 new relay records:  1:50.30 in the 200 medley relay and 8:05.29 in the 800 freestyle relay.  As well, Liam Reese led the 200 medley relay off with a new CWS record in the 50 backstroke:  29.94; Will Sing led-off the 800 freestyle relay with 2:00.26--not bad for his first ever 200, eh?

Day 3 Highlights:  Jack Lloyd placed 7th in the 50 freestyle, earning a new Senior Sectional cut in the process—22.05.

Day 4 Highlights:  Jack Lloyd added 13 points in his 100 freestyle:  48.80 (not a best time but close).  Dorsey Williams erased 5 seconds from his best 200 fly, swimming 2:16.70.  Liam Reese broke the CWS 200 backstroke open record, posting 2:13.52.  Will Sing led-off the 400 freestyle relay with a 54.15; the boys (i.e., Will, Dorsey, Jack, and Liam) swam 3:34.69—also a new CWS open relay record.
